About Us

Nutrition

Little Inspirations will provide nutritious food and snacks to promote healthy children while also promoting healthy learning. Meals/Snacks will be served at every three-hour interval for older children and infants will be fed on their personal schedules. Meals will be served family-style* and the staff will sit with the children to encourage conversation and appropriate table manners. Emphasis will be put on educating on the importance of a well-balanced meal to have a healthy body and healthy mind.

Infant Nutrition

Infants/Toddlers will be fed on their own individual schedule as determined by the child and their parents. Little Inspirations will provide rice cereal. Parents will provide jar baby food and oatmeal or other cereals as required by the child’s diet until the child is ready to eat table food. Table food can be supplemented with the jar food as requested by the parent and supplied by Little Inspirations.
Infants/Toddlers will be encouraged to explore food when they are ready and to experiment with feeding themselves with the use of child-sized utensils and cups. Foods will be served in small bite-size pieces to avoid choking hazards.
Infants that are bottle-fed will be held and snuggled during that time. Bottles will never be propped or given to the child in the crib or any other area unless they are being held.
* Due to the precautions we are taking for Covid-19, meals are currently served by teachers to help protect everyone at our center.

Curriculum

As a Pyramid Model Implementation Site, our programming is designed to meet and exceed the developmental needs of young children. We provide experiences that challenge and support each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. During the course of the day at Little Inspirations, each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, develop personal interaction skills, and learn problem-solving skills and concepts through first-hand experiences. We encourage exploration and involvement.

Our curriculum emphasizes music and rhythm, arts and crafts, memory games, small muscle development, and age-appropriate social and self-help skills. We believe that by using the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards as our guide, we will be integrated with high-quality assessment, professional development, and family connection resources to create a well-rounded program that addresses the needs of early childhood education professionals, children, and their families. Little Inspirations will provide a loving, safe, and secure atmosphere in which each child has an opportunity to develop emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.

Our staff

Shauna, the Center Director, has an Associates Degrees in both Early Childhood Education and Business Communication and Management and has been working in the Early Childhood field since 2002. All of the teachers are dedicated professionals who enjoy what they do and will do everything in their power to help your child develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Our staff is trained in early childhood education, SIDS, Shaken Baby and is CPR certified. Most importantly, your child is not a number with us. We take pride in how you and your child will get to know and trust our dedicated staff and our personal style of teaching. Little Inspirations will strive to work with you to create the best learning environment for you and your child.

Our strength comes from our staff. They are supportive, nurturing, warm, and responsive to each child. We believe it is important for all children to have positive social, emotional, and intellectual experiences to be able to grow and develop. A great deal of time is devoted to strengthening the self-image and confidence of our children through Pyramid Model teaching and practices.
